The primary responsibility of this role is to actively source, recruit, and select quality candidates for a call center environment by establishing key internal and external partnerships while driving all aspects of the relationship management process.  This position is responsible for executing full cycle recruiting, which includes the following components:  active (majority) and passive sourcing, quality screening, scheduling, interviewing, testing, managing the hiring manager relationship, negotiating, employment branding, company/industry/benefits knowledge, cultural fit assessment, and onboarding.

  • Once job openings are approved, conducts recruiting strategy meetings with leadership and/or hiring teams to identify needs and determine appropriate recruitment approach
  • Updates job descriptions and interview guides, as needed, based on feedback from leadership and/or recruiting strategy meetings
  • Builds and maintains a referral source network of multi-level contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates
  • Initiates contact and develops relationships with potentially qualified candidates for specific job openings – both active and future – to proactively build a pipeline of talent
  • Plans and follows through on regular communications and touchpoints with candidates and accepted offers to build their engagement
  • Effectively reviews and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, as well as provides key information about the organization and position
  • Effectively assesses and refers top candidates to hiring teams for additional review
  • Proposes recruitment programs, budgets, and recruiting collateral. Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to develop such material
  • Creatively writes and places job advertising in various media, both internally and externally
  • Manages annual/semi-annual recruiting events schedule, which may include community job fairs, high school and collegiate job fairs, classroom presentations, on-site visits with key influence
  • Develops contacts and maintains relationships with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants
  • Presents at schools, organizations, and job fairs promoting the culture and opportunities available
  • Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources and social media to actively identify and recruit candidates
  • Generate recruiting reports to measure the effectiveness of recruiting efforts
  • Oversees the applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Performs necessary pre-employment checks to ensure eligibility for hire, which may include criminal checks, employment verifications, reference checks, education verifications, etc.
  • Maintains accurate recordkeeping for past, current and future applicants as well as new hires
  • Ensures employment law compliance and adheres to all legal requirements
  • Performs all duties above with the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
  • All other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Human Resources or business-related field, or relevant recruiting and/or industry experience
  • One year experience working in an office setting with relationship building responsibilities
  • Experience with databases, HRIS preferred
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook, and Word

Working Environment

This is an office/call center environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently sitting for long periods of time and typing, entering data and reading on a computer.
