Summary

Primary responsibility includes reviewing accounts to determine eligibility for potential small claims action and/or wage garnishment to be referred to and handled by outside counsel. Maintains and supports company policies and procedures while meeting performance standards, maintaining customer satisfaction, and supporting team members by providing feedback for continual growth.

Expectations:

  • Review referrals from attorney(s), employers, and/or client(s).
  • Utilize Excel reporting to gather account files and provide promptly to outside counsel.
  • Utilize various resources to ensure referrals are comprehensive and promptly submitted to outside counsel.
  • Communicate across departments, with outside counsel, and with involved parties such as client employers to ensure accounts are handled properly and to the highest quality.
  • Serve as a resource and knowledge-base across departments and with involved parties, proactively discussing account details.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure each reaches resolution in an accurate and timely manner, frequently communicating status updates to management.
  • Participate in the department’s continuous improvement initiatives including training, call monitoring reviews, referral reviews, and providing feedback to team members for continual growth.

Americollect does not directly file cases, it prepares & reviews referrals to and from outside counsel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience and/or Training

6 months collection experience preferred

Technology/Equipment

Ability to type 45 words per minute

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, & Excel

Working Environment

This is an office/call center environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently sitting for long periods of time and typing, entering data and reading on a computer.
