Serve as the primary link between leadership, HR, and employees. Lead all functions of HR including but not limited to payroll, benefits, and training. Help move Americollect forward in HR policies and procedures while balancing your “clients” (the employee) engagement, maintaining and/or improving the current culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a link between leadership and employees by handling questions, interpreting, communicating, and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems for all “clients”.
  • Analyze and modify below-market compensation and benefits practices to establish but competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Advise leadership on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with less than desirable connotation with collections/call center, understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Engage employees by playing the role of judge for determining “fair” and “equal” which isn’t always the same thing in Americollect’s culture.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Identify staff vacancies for Managers and above and lead recruitment, interviews and select applicants.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations, employee engagement, information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Plan, organize, direct, control or coordinate the personnel, training, or labor engagement activities of an organization.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
  • Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of organization’s personnel policies and practices while maintaining retention of current employees.
  • Supervise the electronic maintenance of records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Create an employee pipeline/succession planning that adds training needs to design employee development.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
  • Study legislation to assess industry trends.
  • Allocate human resources, ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
  • Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
  • Resolving Conflicts and Negotiating with Others — Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others.
  • Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships — Developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems — Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
  • Judging the Qualities of Things, Services, or People — Assessing the value, importance, or quality of things or people.
  • Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
  • Developing and Building Teams — Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  • Updating and Using Relevant Knowledge — Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
  • Provide Consultation and Advice to Others — Providing guidance and expert advice to management or other groups on technical, systems-, or process-related topics.
  • Coaching and Developing Others — Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.


  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources and/or Master Degree
  • 1 – 3 years experience: Management or Organizational Development
  • PHR and SPHR – Preferred
  • Experience with implementation and management of HRIS systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Keyboarding skills minimum of 50 wpm

Working Environment

This is an office/call center environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently sitting for long periods of time and typing, entering data and reading on a computer.
