Summary

This position will facilitate project completion and provide advanced systems support within Americollect’s server and storage infrastructure.  The primary areas of responsibilities include server operating systems, virtualization platforms, storage platforms, data center design and operations, systems alerting, monitoring and response, information lifecycle management, high availability, and backup and recovery.  The individual in this position will demonstrate sound decision-making characteristics as well as possess excellent communication skills.  This position will help facilitate continuous improvement as well as ITIL alignment in all aspects of virtualization, server and storage infrastructure. This individual will be expected to work with all levels of the organization providing outstanding support for Americollect’s business systems.

Expectations

  • Manage virtualization, server, and storage platforms.
  • Manage the Microsoft Exchange/O365 server environment for emailing, calendaring, and archiving services.
  • Actively monitor and continuously improve the Microsoft Active Directory environment and related applications and interfaces.
  • Responsible for administering backup and recovery of systems and data.
  • Actively participate in the shaping of the 3-5 year strategy with year-by-year road maps for virtualization, server, and storage infrastructures.
  • Participate in the shaping and maintenance of uptime targets and objectives and reporting mechanisms for virtualization, server, and storage infrastructures.
  • Actively monitor system alerts and continuously improve the virtualization, server, and storage infrastructures within the company while following change management procedures.
  • Provide guidance and troubleshooting assistance to level one support personnel as needed.
  • Maintain documented procedures and technical diagrams.
  • Assist with identifying licensing needs and maintaining license compliance.
  • Assist with maintaining strict network security and compliance at all times.

Education

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field preferred

Experience

Five years of experience:

  • Applying Windows, Active Directory, and server infrastructure design and architecture techniques and approaches.
  • Establishing and managing vendor relationships.
  • With Windows Server, storage, and data center security concepts, principles, and access management.
  • Participating in and facilitating the design and architecture of data center technologies and their daily operations.
  • PowerShell or other scripting knowledge

Licenses/Certifications

  • VMware certifications a plus
  • Citrix certifications a plus
  • Microsoft certifications a plus
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation or training a plus

Working Environment

This is an office/call center environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently sitting for long periods of time and typing, entering data and reading on a computer.
