The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for formulating and applying mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to develop and interpret information that supports organizational decision-making, policy formulation, and other initiatives.

This individual will collect and analyze data and to support cross-functional decision-making, primarily collaborating with the Senior Leadership team. He/she will develop and supply optimal time, cost, and/or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, and implementation.

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
  • Create complex data models and maintain a library of model documents, templates, and/or other reusable knowledge assets. Perform validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy, reformulating models as necessary.
  • Synthesize business intelligence and/or trend data in order to influence cross-functional decision-making that meets the needs of the business.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality. Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, and/or purchased sources.
  • Evaluate complex issues by analyzing variable factors including business metrics, operations, workflow, and staffing.
  • Execute projects and cross-functional initiatives, educating stakeholders on metrics, reports, and system usage.
  • Filter and “clean” data and review computer reports and performance indicators to locate and correct code issues.
  • Purchase, maintain, and/or update business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, and methods.
  • Stay abreast with industry or business trends, disseminating such information regarding tools, reports, or metadata enhancements to the necessary stakeholders.
  • Manage the distribution of business intelligence to users.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Preferred studies include Mathematics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, and/or Information Management..


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with data analysis and reporting./li>


  • Proven knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (such as Microsoft Power BI, Business Objects, and Tableau), databases (SQL), and programming languages (such as XML, JavaScript, and ETL frameworks).
  • Experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (such as Excel, SPSS, and SAS).


  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, interpret, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Deductive Reasoning – The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce logical answers.
  • Inductive Reasoning – The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Must be organized and have time management skills.

Working Environment

This is an office/call center environment with a moderate noise level. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently sitting for long periods of time and typing, entering data and reading on a computer.
