Established in 1964, Americollect is bonded and licensed by the Department of Financial Institutions as a collection agency.
Current president Kenlyn T. Gretz purchased Americollect in 1999 after 11 years of working as the company’s collection manager. Starting with 12 employees, Kenlyn aggressively grew Americollect, consistently adding between 4 and 8 employees per year.
Americollect has been recognized as a growing corporation, winning four awards:
- In 2004, the Manitowoc Chamber of Commerce named AMERICOLLECT its Small Business of the Year.
- In 2008, Corporate Report magazine, along with the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh awarded AMERICOLLECT with the Small Business Success Story for Solid Growth.
- In 2009, Inc. Magazine name AMERICOLLECT as one of the United States 5000 fastest growing companies.
- In 2009, InsideARM named AMERICOLLECT one of the top places to work in collections.
In December 2007, AMERICOLLECT opened a new 8,400 square-foot facility, allowing AMERICOLLECT to grow to 95 team members, in addition to allowing AMERICOLLECT future growth, the facility was built with the newest technology.
Creating a highly efficient work environment for our employees, AMERICOLLECT utilizes a secure entrance and tracking systems, VOIP telephone system capability, internal secure wireless access points, and redundant IT networking.

Management Bios:
President &
CEO: Kenlyn
T. Gretz 
In 1988, Kenlyn started
on the ground floor as a collector at
Americollect. As soon as he began, he
started to create his own style of collections
called the Win-Win
Collection Concept, which is now
the staple for Americollect today. Within
two years, he was promoted to collection
manager for the growing company. In 1999,
Kenlyn left Americollect and accepted
a new position as a manager of a national
collection agency . The owner, John Steimle,
realized the value of Kenlyn and tried
to bring him back to Americollect. Kenlyn
settled on coming back to Americollect
only if he could purchase the company.
Kenlyn purchased a twelve employee agency
and has grown it tremendously. Kenlyn
is a certified collector through the American
Collectors Association. Kenlyn has served
on the following board of directors:

Clinic Credit Managers Association
- American
Association of Healthcare Administrative
Management
He was awarded the “President's
Award” for AAHAM in 2004, and helped
Americollect earn Manitowoc's Chamber
of Commerce Small Business of the Year
in 2004. Kenlyn majored in Economics and
Computer Science at the University of
Wisconsin-Eau Claire and the University
of Wisconsin-Green Bay. His involvements
include Sunrise Optimist, Masquers Community
Theater, Jaycee, Rotary and Project DAD.
Kenlyn is married to Lynn and has five
daughters.

Vice President:
Patty
Check 
In 1971, while in high school, Patty
Check started with Americollect. Patty
began on the ground floor working with
clients, posting payments, setting up
new clients, and handling all incoming
client phone calls. As Americollect grew,
Patty continued taking on responsibilities
proving her worth to the company. In 1995,
Patty was promoted to Vice President.
Since that time, Patty has spearheaded
many client efficiencies regarding new
client set up, reporting and communication.
Patty also manages the financial reports
for Americollect. In 2006, She received
her Excel Certificate from Lakeshore Technical
College. Past and present organization
affiliations include American Collector’s
Association, Wisconsin Collector’s
Association, American Institute of Professional
Bookkeepers, Treasurer of Lincoln High
School Football Booster Club, President
of Stangel School PTA, Secretary of Ladies
Aid Society, and Bible Study Leader. In
1982, she was married to John and they
have two sons, Luke and Tyler.
